Our mission

About us

Mission Statement

The mission of Reach Me Teach Me Early Learning Academy is to provide a safe, affordable, quality child care for children in the surrounding communities. In doing so, we support families in their efforts to work and/or attend school. Reach Me Teach Me Early Learning Academy provides a program for children ages two to twelve years. We provide a safe, clean environment where children are encouraged to develop at their own pace.

Our mission is also to celebrate children’s individuality and nourish their curiosity, independence, creativity, and self-esteem. By fostering positive learning attitudes and challenging children’s thinking we expect that each child will be empowered to reach their individual potential. Equally important for children is a constant group of friends, and uninterrupted periods of time for children to play, where learning can flow in the natural direction of children’s interests, increasing engagement and depth of learning. This offers daily stability and supports our transition to school programme.

Philosophy

  • Our method of teaching is a "hands-on" approach. Children, as most people, learn easiest and have more fun when they learn through their senses and by experience

  • Our main educational goal is to foster a desire for learning within each child and enrich his/her self esteem. Therefore our teachers work closely with our children to insure that each child is treated fairly and has the same opportunities as other students to learn and play.

  • Children need warm, understanding Early Childhood Educators who respect and listen to each child as an individual person.

  • We present information through games and activities which involve the child. Your child may not necessarily bring home a paper or craft every day; please understand that does not mean "they did nothing" at school that day. What it means is that the child is a participant, not just an observer, and is involved in a variety of creative learning activities.

  • Curriculum Statement

The goal of our curriculum are multi-faceted. Our goals encourage children to be enthusiatic, self-confident, independent learners and we believe that play is primary mode of learning. Our curriculum also respects individual learning styles and ever changing interests. Through our curriculum we promote growth in all areas of development including:

  • Social: to help children learn from adults and one another by observation, imitation, and interaction.

  • Emotional: to provide a safe and secure environment where children can develop pride, self-confidence, independence, self-control, and a positive attitude toward life.

  • Cognitive: to promote curiosity and to help children acquire learning skills, such as the abilities to solve problems, make choices, ask questions, and express their ideas, observations, and feelings.

  • Physical: To help children develop and enhance their small and large muscle skills and feel confident and comfortable with their own bodies.
